Compliments

passionate. this is a word that some people have described me as.

i think i like that. of all words, i hope people find me passionate. for jesus. for justice. for whatever it may be. i desire to be called passionate over anything else.

oh the flip side. i think the worst "adjective" i could be described as is normal. i don't really know what normalcy really is in the first place, i just know i don't want to be it.

"He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." Micah 6:8

god bless u all.

to be passionate, I think, is to have a heart like Jesus.

It can be so difficult and taxing, but I would not want to be any other way.

On the other hand, it can be scary to feel things so strongly and its is hard sometimes to keep it all together.

I guess we just have to keep our eyes on Jesus as we feel our way through this life, but I hear you buddy.

passion comes from a latin word that means "to suffer" (as in The Passion of the Christ)
compassion comes from that same word, so really, it means to "suffer with"
that's what you're doing--suffering with, or suffering alongside of, those kids, and sharing their load (like you talked about from Shane's book)
when you suffer with others, you lighten their load, and they know they are not alone. That's what passion for ministry is about.
the cool thing is, Jesus is passionate about us. He came to our neighborhood and suffered with us, too. When you get discouraged, hang onto that!
